I'm actually listening to Whad'ya Know on WPR right now, and it's a replay of when they were in Oxford last year. I've heard this one alot (I was there, actually) but I try to plan my Saturdays around listening to public radio---WPR from 10-12 b/c MPB stopped carrying the LIVE broadcast on Saturdays and instead opt for the replay only on Sunday.
Kinda bums me b/c what if I am driving on Saturday and can't get to a computer by 10am? I guess I could complain to MPB, but oh well. I've found good stuff on WPR anyway so it all works out.
Plus, when it's a repeat I guess it doesn't matter.

1.2 Megapixel
Ok so Thursday night after going to Tupelo to tape Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley (who I must say is a true politician in the 'know everyone by name' sense...but he's probably the only person in State Government who seems like he is working for the people, and is 100% trustworthy. But then again....he might be the only political figure I've talked to for more than a handshake and a 'howyadoing?' ...but I digress to boast)....I got back to the station around 10pm.
Then.....I went behind the 'station' part of the studio.....and started yanking wires. Everything to the left of the automation--excluding the automation at this point---came out. Unplugged. It had the potential to be a mess...but I was in control. I didn't let the fear take control. So, for the next 4 hours I didn't do a whole bunch of re-arranging, just re-wiring. Now, it looks much more pleasing to the eye. The only major change was moving the weather alert system closer to the output of the final mixer in the circuit before it goes out to the transmitter. Mainly to keep wires going 10 feet from right to left, then 3 feet farther left, then back 7 feet to the right, then back 6 feet and out to the transmitter and being just plain ugly.
Friday night from about 8pm til about 1am I worked on clearing out some crap behind all this that was used as a workbench at one point. Now it looks better. The next step would logically be the Automation setup....but it all may change in a month or two....so it can wait.
So I'm thinking my Saturday may include part picking a section to clear and working on it, and part catching up on my production I should have had done by now. Then, Sunday finish up on the production and take care of some extremely loose ends that need to be done before moving too far along on much more straightening up.
Other than that, have some personal stuff going on but staying positive. Nothing you would care about knowing.
Oh, and....at least Friday was a wonderful break from the cold....but I wasn't even at home so I didn't get to enjoy being comfortable in my house.

Benjamin Button....
...Was indeed a Curious Case.
Anyway....it appears that Brad Pitt is hot as an old man or a young man....and every age in between.
Maybe more cute than hot as an old man....but regardless the movie was well made!!

A Simple Weight Loss Technique...
So I'm sitting in my freezing house (it's really hard to type with cold hands, btw) and just realized something.
This is a recipe for what I'm wearing:
Underwear, socks, and T-shirt. Add thermal underwear or equivalent top and bottom. Now add another pair of socks. To this, add a pair of sleep/pajama pants and another T-shirt. Now put on pair of normal pants and sweater or sweatshirt of choice and lounge around house if it's at all possible to be comfortable wearing this. If going outside, add big coat and tobogan thingy.
Now...if I were to wear a combo of this everyday for the rest of winter...making sure to be seen in public often.....and then as soon as it gets warm take off everything except the socks, underwear, pants and t-shirt............IT WILL LOOK LIKE YOU LOST WEIGHT!!!!
The pajama pants alone are kind of bunchy so they give me a nice puffy midsection. But...when I ditch those....voila! Instant inches off the waist!!!

I Have To Make '09 MINE!
Hahahah.....nah, not really, just I don't know any cool sayings for 2009. You know, 'Make 08 Great' was pretty good....maybe "Make '09 Just Fine!"
I'm unshowered. I just never got around to it today. It could have been the nap I took this afternoon after 4 slices of ham and a bowl of salsa. Siesta, anyone?
I'm being haunted by TV-7. Yesterday I heard it emanating from down the hall at the veterans home in Oxford, then a few minutes ago coming from the house next door. Yesterday was funnier b/c it was my commercial about watching TV7 online with the song from Hot Fuzz that starts off with police sirens. And there was the Farm Bureau ad with the awful 'our hometown' jingle.
I'm getting low on space for DVDs. I could get another shelf, but the big one I have was found several years ago as a closeout item at OfficeMax...so I'm probably out of luck finding a matching one. Besides, I have no room for an indentical one, so I have to figure out a new ordering system if I get a new shelf.
Upon second viewing...WALL•E made me cry again!
Upon second viewing...I think the 4th Indiana Jones was really good. Still no Last Crusade, but hey, maybe just the even-numbered ones are bad in the series. So, that would mean the 5th installment would be awesome.
I also finally watched the 2nd X-Files movie. And, being influenced by things I heard when it came out....it is easy to say 'after so many years, THAT's all they could do?' I did like it though don't get me wrong. It was great to see Scully & Mulder in action again, and frankly I just stopped watching near the end of the series, so I actually had to do a wiki search to piece together what happened at the end of the show. I just hope enough people saw it for them to make a 3rd one, b/c it will involve the end of the world in 2012.
I also watched 'The Sting' for the first time today. Man, Robert Redford and Paul Newman are where it's at! It was great....I also got to see where Dr. Cox from Scrubs got his 'nose flick' gesture.
I have several more films on deck to get to hopefully this week...they're all over 2 hours so that's why it's taken me a while to watch some more. I'm also almost halfway through the 4th season of the Cosby Show.
It's sad when you consider yourself lazy, but you're not lazy enough to fit 2 straight hours of sit down time in. I'm not a fan of constantly pausing, so I just have to get in the mood to sit down and watch something these days.

A Few Thoughts From My 'Drafts' Section On My Phone....
A few months ago I went through a period of when I thought of something funny or had a dream I could barely remember the next morning I would type a line as a text message and save it for review later.
Sadly, the dream thing doesn't work. If my lamp next to my bed was plugged in I could remember alot more b/c I have a notebook I've written dreams in before. Usually though we all forget our dreams shortly after waking even when we swear to ourselves we won't.
But here are some things I found funny....but barely remember the full story:
1.) Back in October, I was on my way to Leland for my cousin's wedding. I stopped at a gas station in Indianola for a pee break and some peanuts. As I was approaching the check out counter, a woman--rather skinny with short hair and a smoker's voice---promptly walked up the the cashier and in a half question/half statment simply said 'Parchman.?' The tone implied she was not only asking for directions, but stating she was on her way to the prison. Presumably to visit.
2.) At the same gas station, on my way out, a car pulled up and two girls got out in mid conversation. I didn't write down the convo, but the basic line that was funny was something to the effect of "You know, they're twins, they look similar and ever'thing." Funny...now that I think of it...most twins DO look similar.
3.) If I was playing poker and had a good hand...this would be my victory phrase: "Just call me Danny Tanner, because I've got a Full House!" Hahahah....this would work the best if you had two jacks and 3 queens, b/c you could say 'Say hello to Uncle Jessie & Joey, and welcome Michelle, Steph, and DJ...b/c I've got a Full House!!"
4.) The next message just says 'speech incompetence.' I don't know what this is about, it must have been a proposed rant. Someone had said something that really grinded my gears and I was working on a mean rant I suppose.
5.) This one I know is a dream: 'giant flying dog nudging me 2 horrer movie.' I had a weird dream where some kind of dog....I remember it being big like a half lab and half sheep dog....but with wings. I don't know if it was a horror movie actually happening, or one was playing on TV, but I think it was swooping down and bumping me toward the horror.

Thanks for reading.....I hope to detail more things that are funny.......I just hope I can have a journal or something with me to get a good description.

I Made Slight Changes....
.......to my blog info. Just changed a few words here and there. The only thing I didn't really mess with was my profile listings with favorite movies/music/books, mostly b/c they change often, and I have a Myspace, Facebook, and blog, and trying to keep all 3 up-to-date is just alot of work!
Maybe one day I'll type a definitive list and keep all 3 updated.
Or i'll just redirect people to my DVD collection...and they can just go through the over 600 titles and guess what are my faves.
