Well........
...I woke up this morning (between snooze button hits, actually) to the sound of tapping. I don't know if it was from across the street, but the sound was carrying, or if someone was tapping something on the house. It was a rythmic taptaptap taptap taptap tap taptaptap. By the time I peed and walked around the house to see if someone was in the driveway, it had stopped.

It's October 1st, and there' something I'm about to start doing tonight. I'm going to unplug everything that's uneccessary when I'm done with it. Now, there's only one problem: there are very few actual plugins in this house. Only 7 total in the rooms I actually use. So, I don't have much plugged in anyway.....but the two biggies are overloaded: The computer and the DVD player. The computer I can handle...just shut it down every night and when I leave for work, but the TV setup....that's another story. 6 electronic items plugged into a power strip....plugged into an extension cord....plugged into the next room. But there's also Adam's mattress in the way. So, I've gotta figure out a better way to unplug everything easily and without tromping all over a mattress.
I think I can do this well, and to my thinking the only essential things left would be the fridge, the alarm clock, and the fishless aquarium.
Also....I'm cutting this here internet off in November. (I can pay the bill that's in my mailbox now...which covers October. I think that's how it works.)
After that I'll see what else I can do to not only save money...but save the planet. I think recycling would be next.
