Ok so Thursday night after going to Tupelo to tape Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley (who I must say is a true politician in the 'know everyone by name' sense...but he's probably the only person in State Government who seems like he is working for the people, and is 100% trustworthy. But then again....he might be the only political figure I've talked to for more than a handshake and a 'howyadoing?' ...but I digress to boast)....I got back to the station around 10pm.
Then.....I went behind the 'station' part of the studio.....and started yanking wires. Everything to the left of the automation--excluding the automation at this point---came out. Unplugged. It had the potential to be a mess...but I was in control. I didn't let the fear take control. So, for the next 4 hours I didn't do a whole bunch of re-arranging, just re-wiring. Now, it looks much more pleasing to the eye. The only major change was moving the weather alert system closer to the output of the final mixer in the circuit before it goes out to the transmitter. Mainly to keep wires going 10 feet from right to left, then 3 feet farther left, then back 7 feet to the right, then back 6 feet and out to the transmitter and being just plain ugly.
Friday night from about 8pm til about 1am I worked on clearing out some crap behind all this that was used as a workbench at one point. Now it looks better. The next step would logically be the Automation setup....but it all may change in a month or two....so it can wait.
So I'm thinking my Saturday may include part picking a section to clear and working on it, and part catching up on my production I should have had done by now. Then, Sunday finish up on the production and take care of some extremely loose ends that need to be done before moving too far along on much more straightening up.
Other than that, have some personal stuff going on but staying positive. Nothing you would care about knowing.
Oh, and....at least Friday was a wonderful break from the cold....but I wasn't even at home so I didn't get to enjoy being comfortable in my house.
