I find it very very very frustrating when people say "we" but really mean "you."

Sorry bros & bras, thought I could keep it going daily.
It's so odd how I just haven't really had a moment to sit down and type....yet I've not really done that much.
It's really just a matter of being near the computer when I have a thought. Neither of those have happened.
Since last Wednesday:
Football has started. I totally wasn't prepared, but things went ok. We're totally lacking in equipment and I do believe that will bite me in the booty in another week or two. I've also finished a majority of the ID cards. They look great on the computer, but with my piece of crap printer everyone looks purple.
So last Friday was the first full football night.....and many things went smoothly for the most part. The most dreadful part was getting back to Bruce at 1.30ish and having to insert ads into the Bruce game, and not finishing until 3. So, after getting in bed at almost 4, I had to get up at 8 or 9....go to Slate Spring....mow the cemetery...bring the mower back to Bruce.....mow my yard......take the mower back.....then get back so me, Adam, and Andrew could watch 'Sling Blade.' Man oh man......that is such a great movie. Oh and I got drunk.
Therefore I slept till almost noon Sunday and lazed around. Watched 'Eagle vs. Shark' before....ummmm, doing something later that day. Oh yeah....played some more Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Wii until I went to Andrew & Natalie's house for some night-before-Labor Day-cookout food because Hurricane Gustav was to rear it's ugly (yet lame) head Monday.
I've started a conversational Spanish class with Natalie on Tuesdays. I hope I can get something out of it.
Not this past Tuesday though: Board Meeting Night. Possibly the only time all our city board meetings have lasted under an hour. Good for me.
By the way....I'm still kinda iffy on the digital television/converter box thing. I mean, it's really neat b/c the picture is really really good...it has on-screen info about the program--including what's playing and what's coming on next...BUT....you still have to have an antenna to pick up several channels.
My beef is that it's not really marketed in a manner that explains you still have to use rabbit ears or an outside antenna. For rural areas......I think it sucks. In my mind I had this grand idea that ALL YOU NEEDED was THE CONVERTER BOX. I guess I was assuming IT would pick up all the channels. NOOOOO.
I really want to make an ad that kind of blasts that idea. I guess it would work; because I see two benefits: 1. People that can't really pick up TV-7...but are close enough....could get an outside antenna just for the digital signal and discover that if they switch it off they'll get us. 2. It won't put the people that make antennas out of business.
On the other hand people will revolt and just buy a satellite.
So if you are only getting two or three channels and think the digital converter box will open up a new world....it won't really. But it is sorta cool.
-------
I don't think I've gotten paid in a while. I'm not freaking out at this point..but I haven't paid my rent for September yet and I just really don't feel like transferring funds from savings to checking. Plus, there's stuff I want to buy. I've bought two pieces of clothing from eBay in the last week....but I would like to get more stuff, especially some electronic stuff.
I've got some things in mind.....the good thing is that some of it I can get reimbursed with cash from work b/c it is legitimately work-related. But I want some other cool stuff.
-------------
Adam just touched me. And he's dancing to 'the jam'. And he totally bogarted the valium and didn't share.
-------------
I watched "Where In The World Is Osama Bin Laden" last night...the latest from Morgan Spurlock. Pretty good.
I think I'm going to bed and not setting an alarm. I think on Fridays I'm allowed to sleep in.
