Late As In The Late Dent Arthur Dent

So......a movie I think worth all the hype is indeed "Brokeback Mountain."

Now I don't need to tell you what the movie is about b/c you've probably heard either 1.) some form of unstoppable blab hyping the movie to be the best of the years 2005 and 2006, or 2.) that it's the most subversive movie ever and should be banned from everywhere b/c it's about the gay.

Well either way you've been led to believe I'll tell you two things: 1.) Everyone should see this movie at least once, and 2.) when you DO see it........just take it for what it's worth. Feel about it how you feel about it.

---------
That being said, I regret something deeply that I didn't do last Sunday. Whilst watching the movie, there was an old (50–60 years old) couple behind us that would not shut up. The woman was constantly giggling (as if she were seeing a comedy) and the man could not NOT talk. He would just make asinine comments that were wastes of breath....begginning with "Heh heh, choked off the truck didn't he?" at the beginning to "Got Roger Miller on the radio, huh?" in the middle and "I knew he would ---- -------" at the very very end. (which he got the last part wrong, anyway.)

So what would I have done? Well I was so close (for 2 hours and 14 minutes) to turning around and just flat out saying "Hey, shut the fuck up." But......I was trying to get into the movie and didn't want to disturb it, even though they kept bringing me back out of it.

What got me was before the movie began all of the other people I could see coming into the theater looked to be 20–30 year olds, who had enough sense to sit and watch a movie and just take it in like grown adults. But noooooo......the old people were worse than a little kid. You would think old people would have manners in a theater. They were around when it was invented....surely they know the deal.

---------
So I suppose all I'll tell you about 'Brokeback Mountain' is that I saw it and what I went through to see it.....the rest is up to you.

But I will say that director Ang Lee redeemed himself for "HULK."
