I just receieved—today—4 DVDs.
"What were they?" Let me tell you:
The Star Wars Trilogy Definitive Collection. Yes......All three Star Wars movies.......as they were released on LaserDisc in '97. That means.......preserved as they were before they were tampered with. Yes......the Original Hebrew Text of the movies as opposed to the New King James Versions.
And what was the 4th disc?
"Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith"
......uh huh.
(The 2 biggest problems: ROTS is scrunched down from widescreen, so everyone looks tall and skinny.....and there is a timecode on screen. But, still.)
I will treasure these DVDs, and you will too, I hope. —At this time I will admit that I believe "Empire Strikes Back" is the only of the Trilogy to actually BENEFIT from the Special Editions. Nothing major was touched....and what was added was actually cool (i.e. the Wampa and Cloud City backgrounds)
