It was an age of similarities....it was an age of non-similarities.
So guess what I found out I can (possibly) do? Vegas Video 4.0 has 5.1 Surround Sound editing capabilities.
Oh...if only I had known..........Ultra Run 2 could've been 5.1. Oh well....at least now I won't feel too bad for recutting Episode I: The Phantom Menace. If this works out correctly, I can retain the cool sound......just cut out Jar Jar.
In case you are curious/interested...5.1 is set up in a way that the dialogue is mostly in the front center speaker....so this is in fact a way to actually rip dialogue from a movie without music/sound effects (I think, mostly). So, well...it could come in handy for various things I guess—if you have the time to only connect that speaker from the back of the set into something to record the audio. So no kinks are worked out yet.......more on that later.

So unless you've been not reading internet sites.....there's a new movie coming out starring Tom Cruise and is directed by Steven Spielberg. It's a little film called "War Of The Worlds," and is said to have come close to—if not being—the most expensive movie ever made.
HOWEVER.......believe it or not....but there is also another "War Of The Worlds" that was secretly shot in Britian for about $12 million and is coming out on DVD this month (probably won't come to any theaters over here). So what's the big deal about this film? It's supposed to be 100% true to the original book, and is set at turn of the century (1900, that is) Earth, what is attacked by Mars. Its claim to fame is the only H.G. Wells version ever filmed.
As of this typing....I have not found an actual review of the film. On Amazon dot com, some weirdo said he bought it at WalMart and it's sooo bad that he couldn't give it a zero b/c Amazon ratings don't go that low.
But.....who knows? Time will tell, I suppose.
haahhah.......get it? Didn't H.G. Wells also write "The Time Machine"?
